Stewards of Children
We are offering you an opportunity to become a Steward of Children. We will be offering upcoming trainings in June and July for a nominal fee of $10 for materials. These trainings are for anyone interested in the welfare of our community's children. With these trainings, you will learn how you can prevent, recognize and react to signs of child sexual abuse. The Stewards of Children training is a key component of changing and improving people's attitudes and behaviors about what it means to keep children safe. And will go a long way in helping WACC in our prevention of child sexual abuse work in Washtenaw. For more information and to sign up for an upcoming training or to schedule one for your facility or staff, please click here to contact Eileen Pritzker at the Council office.

Since 2006, we have been offering Internet Safety programming to area High and Middle School students and their parents, free of charge, thanks to a federal grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. We were one of only 5 communities in the nation to receive this funding, which expired in June of 2011. However, with funding, in part, from the James A. and Faith Knight Foundation, we will again be offering our program to interested schools throughout Washtenaw County.
