Programs
WACC offers programs designed to stop child abuse before it starts. Programs are available for both children and adults and are either free or very reasonably priced. We strive to make our programs as accessible as possible for the widest possible audience.

Bubbylonian Encounter
This play, designed for children in grades 1 through 5, teaches kids about appropriate and inappropriate touching in a way that is humorous and engaging. The play is offered to all elementary schools in Washtenaw County free of charge. (read more ... )
Shaken Baby Syndrome Awareness Program
We offer trainings to caregivers and potential caregivers of children about how to physically handle a baby. The trainings offer cautionary warnings about shaking a baby as well as advice on how to calm a crying or fussy baby. (read more ... )
Luncheon Lecture Series
Each year, beginning in October and continuing through March, we offer a series of four 2-hour lectures on a set of topics with a unifying theme. The focus this year is
on issues facing children at various stages of development and how we can help them

Safer Sleep Initiative
In March ‘06 we launched our SAFER SLEEP for INFANTS program in an effort to address preventable infant deaths caused by unsafe sleep practices. Each year, more infants in Washtenaw County die of poor sleep environments than any other cause, except for prematurity and birth defects. (read more ... )
Internet Safety Program
This is our newest program, created to make young people and others aware of the risks of using the Internet unwisely
by training young women from Dexter High School, Dexter, Michigan, about the dangers of risky Internet use and preparing them to become Internet Safety mentors to their peers. (read more ... )

The 2005 grant cycle has closed. Specific guidance will be available on this website as soon as CTF announces its timelines for 2006.
