Self Control/Self-Regulation Techniques

Self-control is the foundation for developing other inner strengths that build resilience and plays an important part in developing self-regulation. “Self-regulation” is how we adjust our feelings, behavior, attention, thoughts and bodies so that we can handle different situations effectively without getting overwhelmed. Ms. Lewis will explore methods and interventions that increase self-control and self-regulation with the intent to increase awareness, impact, and strength of resilience in the children and youth with whom we work.
