Workshop Description: Every child is born full of possibility. When families and communities have the support they need, children grow up safer, healthier, and more hopeful about their futures. This session introduces the HOPE Framework (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences), a strengths‑based approach that highlights the positive childhood experiences that help kids thrive. Participants will learn about the four Building Blocks of HOPE, explore the research behind Positive Childhood Experiences, and discuss simple, practical ways to bring more HOPE into everyday interactions with children and families.

About the Presenters:

Jodi Mullett, Master of Arts (MA) in Child Development, Michigan State University. She is the Training and Education Manager at Children Trust Michigan, where she supports statewide efforts to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect. She leads trainings, develops trauma‑informed resources, and guides prevention partners across Michigan. Jodi’s work centers on helping prevention programs and organizations use positive, strength-based approaches that support resilient children, families, and communities.
